At VSP Vision Care, I led a 9-person in-house digital team within “Agency West” (a 40-person internal agency). Our team was responsible for video, photography, and digital content supporting five business units: VSP Vision Insurance, Eyeconic.com (e-commerce), Visionworks (brick & mortar), Marchon (eyewear manufacturing), and VSP Ventures (VC).
We conceived and produced a wide range of content — from social media to long-form video, AR experiences to trade show coverage. In just a few years, our team won 5 ADDY Awards for creative and strategic excellence.
FEATURED WORK
- Team Sizzle Reel
Promoted the team’s creative capabilities and services during a period of rapid business growth, including the acquisition of Visionworks (700+ stores). - Doctor Network Series
Conceived and produced a direct-to-consumer video series focused on promoting the Doctor Network as a key differentiator. Involved in ideation, scripting, casting, and final production.
ADDY Award: 2019 - Eyes of Hope – PSA
Created a 60-second PSA highlighting VSP’s charity program supporting underserved communities. 4-day, 5-location shoot with a 16-person crew.
ADDY Award: 2019 - MS Awareness Month: “Janna’s Story”
Produced the highest-performing VSP video to date (2M views, 4x goal, 10% watched 75% of video). Humanized the power of early detection through eye exams. - AR Event: “EGGSTRAVAGANZA”
Spearheaded an Augmented Reality event to demonstrate immersive tech’s potential for trade shows and internal training. 76-person treasure hunt, prizes, and an Easter Bunny. Generated internal excitement and strengthened cross-team bonds. - Holiday Video
Led concept and production of the annual Holiday Video. This year, we created a retro “Lite-Brite” themed experience involving all business units.
ADDY Award: 2018 (Special Effects) - Spyder Product Launch
Produced three product launch videos for Spyder Eyewear. Shot on location across NorCal and incorporated influencer and Getty footage. - SHiFT-19 Event Campaign
Captured and produced a full event campaign in Scottsdale, including recap videos, interviews, motion graphics, and branded visual identity.
ADDY Award: 2019 - Jos A. Banks Product Launch
Produced a behind-the-scenes video shoot for the new eyewear collection at Tailored Brands’ studio.
THE OUTCOME
- Built and led a 9-person in-house content team that won 5 ADDY Awards
- Supported all five of VSP’s business units with strategic, scalable creative output
- Produced highly engaging video content that exceeded performance benchmarks (e.g., 2M views for “Janna’s Story”)
