THE CHALLENGE
The in-house digital team at VSP Vision Care was eager to explore new technology and stretch their creative capabilities. We wanted to demonstrate how Augmented Reality (AR) could be used across the business — from trade shows and marketing to internal training and innovation — but needed executive buy-in, budget, and a compelling proof of concept.
THE SOLUTION
After lobbying hard for the opportunity, I led the concept and execution of “EGGSTRAVAGANZA!,” an AR-based treasure hunt designed to showcase the potential of immersive brand experiences. We invited 76 employees to participate, served lunch, offered prizes, and even brought in the Easter Bunny.
The team created AR experiences, handled all logistics, and documented the event through photos and video — all designed to spark imagination and support future tech initiatives.
THE OUTCOME
- Produced VSP’s first internally developed Augmented Reality experience
- Strengthened team morale and cross-functional collaboration
- Created significant buzz among internal clients, Marketing, and leadership
- Opened doors for future innovation projects and experiential campaigns
- Received heartfelt appreciation from team members and internal stakeholders
